Bracciano, situated between Rome and Viterbo,
has a population of approximately 15,000 inhabitants. Its lake, Natural Park and Botanical Gardens of San Liberato are wonderful attractions for nature-lovers, while the 15 th -century Orsini-Odescalchi Castle, the Church of Santa Maria Novella, the Santo Stefano Cathedral, the old town, and the Historical Military Aircraft Museum are of great historical and artistic interest.
There is a comfortable rail link (FM3) from Bracciano to Rome: Saint Peter's station, (around 50 min), Trastevere station (around 55 min), Valle Aurelia A underground/rail interchange (40 min). Viterbo, an ancient medieval town famous for its well-preserved historic centre, may also be reached either with the same rail link (FM3) or by car (both around 50 min).
